Trans Children in Today’s Schools
With an ever-increasing presence of transgender students, schools have nowhere to turn for guidance...
Read OnInclusion and diversity are qualities that businesses strive to incorporate, yet where is the road map for supporting a gender-diverse employee and their co-workers? How do you respectfully engage customers or clients when you’re uncertain of their gender? What does it mean to have a nonbinary identity, and how do you get the pronouns right? These are some of the questions in a quickly changing, gender-expanding society. Gender Diversity has successfully guided many workplaces through a landscape that is both new and sometimes intimidating.
Today, gender-diverse people are an increasing visible part of a labor force that is challenged to optimize their employment needs. Beyond the employee’s needs, employers are negotiating the challenges that come with this inclusion. Societal misperceptions, stigma, and inaccuracies associated with gender-diverse people are hard to overcome and available resources that could guide that process are difficult to find. Beyond the topics of pronouns, names, and bathroom, what do we need to know?
Do you work with a person who is trans or nonbinary and stumble on the pronouns? Want to create a gender-inclusive environment or reach transgender clientele but are unsure where to start? How do you address questions or concerns of co-workers, customers, or clients?
We offer webinars and customized trainings for businesses large and small. The knowledge and insight acquired through our trainings can dramatically improve positive outcomes for leadership, administrators, and employees.
